Canan Batur is a curator and writer based in between London and Istanbul. She is one of the co-founders of clearview, a north London based residency and project space launched in 2016 and currently, she is holding a position in the curatorial bureau of Baltic Triennial 13.

She is the organiser and co-founder of Nikki Agency in Paris, and Painting Clubb in London and Nottingham.Her recent research focuses on the ways to collaborate and highlight neglected and fractured identities. She has previously given talks and taken part in panel discussions at Whitechapel Gallery (London); South London Gallery (London); ICA (London); and Studio X (Istanbul).

She has previously worked at Chisenhale Gallery, Cell Project Space, Istanbul Modern Museum and Beaconsfield Gallery Vauxhall. Her upcoming residencies are Shanghai Curators Lab in November 2018 and Rupert Vilnius in August 2018.
