Simon Wang

Simon Wang is the gallerist of Antenna Space. Born in Heilongjiang in 1984,Wang graduated from Haerbin Institute of Technology in 2006 with a degree in English Literature before entering Beijing's gallery world as a sales assistant at Beijing Art Now Gallery and Director at Gallery Yang. With start-up help from Shanghai collector David Chau, Wang opened Antenna Space with a program packed with China's future art stars. It's been six years since Simon Wang opened Antenna Space in the M50 Gallery District in Shanghai and in that time, he has already been able to launch the careers of several of his artists on the international stage. Guan Xiao, Cui Jie, Nadim Abbas, Liu Chuang, Li Ming -It's not that his artists are household names. But, as a group, they have such a unique vocabulary. They are redefining what people know as Chinese contemporary art.
