Greg Hilty is Par tner at Lisson Gallery, a contemporary art gallery founded in 1967 with spaces now in Shanghai, Beijing, London, New York and Los Angeles. He joined Lisson Gallery as Curatorial Director in 2008, working with leading artists to develop opportunities across all platforms, broadening the programme within a wider global framework, and leading the Gallery's expanded activity in Asia. Hilty began his career in 1983 at the avant-garde arts centre Riverside Studios in Hammersmith, moving in 1990 to London’s Hayward Gallery where as Senior Curator he focused on innovative presentations of contemporary artists within the broad visual arts field. He was Director of Arts for London Arts and Director of Visual Arts and Literature for the Arts Council England’s London office, from 1999–2004. From 2005-8 he worked in partnership with the University of the Arts London, developing artistic initiatives across creative disciplines and industries and curating exhibitions on cultural ecology and animation.

Hilty's presentation will take a detailed look at a snapshot of one year's programme in Lisson Gallery London, drawing out the strategic basis of programming decisions including artist development, museum and institutional collaboration, audience development, transnational exchange, team development and engagement with wider cultural ecology alongside commercial considerations.
