Thomas Patier (Paris, France) is an independent curator and writer focusing primarily on the exhibition of under-recognized or emerging artists, and interdisciplinary approaches to art & technology. He holds a master's degree from the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College (New York, 2018) and a bachelor's in philosophy and comparative literature from St. John's College (New Mexico, 2014). Since 2015 he has held research positions at the University of California, San Diego, the Sitelines biennial (SITE Santa Fe, New Mexico), and editorial positions at TEOR/éTica (San José, Costa Rica) and the online journal Accessions.org. Recent collaborative projects include "Glassbox-Store" at Glassbox espace d'art (Paris, France, 2016), "Volumes for Sound: Voice" at The Kitchen (New York, 2017), "Leaps and Bounds" at the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP, New York, 2018) and "Everything is going to be fine" at the Hessel Museum of Art (New York, 2018). Thomas's reviews and essays have appeared on Gallerytalk, The Kitchen blog and the L.A. Review of Books, among other publications.
